Dr. Sergey Lapin is a Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington State University Everett. He is also the Director of WSU’s Data Analytics program and a Faculty Fellow at the WSU Honors College.  His work focuses on scientific computing, mathematical biology, and data analytics, with recent projects exploring cardiovascular and retinal dynamics. He’s passionate about mentoring students, building interdisciplinary teams, and using math to tackle real-world problems. Dr. Lapin has received multiple awards for teaching and leadership and collaborates with researchers around the world.
