Liam Crofton 2024 Outstanding Senior

The 2024 College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Senior from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics is Liam Crafton, who was honored at a college reception on May 3. Liam graduated with both a degree in theoretical mathematics and physics. He has already completed five graduate level mathematics courses. In the department, he participated in research with faculty members and served as a tutor in the Math Learning Center and a paper grader. He was a member of our Math Modeling team for two years and was a member of our Putnam Exam team. He was chosen for the very first cohort of eight WSU students who spent a semester at Linköping University in Sweden through a National Science Foundation-funded program. Liam intends to go to graduate school to pursue a PhD in statistics.
