Professor Lynn Schreyer was selected as a 2024 Distinguished Purdue Alumni Scholar for her exceptional leadership and significant contributions to her field. Professor Schreyer, who earned a PhD in applied mathematics from Purdue’s Department of Mathematics in 1994, was honored at a reception in March at the Purdue campus.
Jillian Morrison, a 2019 PhD graduate of the department, was featured in the “Meet a Member” column of the Mathematical Association of America’s Focus newsmagazine in the February/March 2024 issue.
WSU Vancouver Mathematics and Statistics program leader, Luz Rocio Sotomayor, was recognized as a Provost Featured Faculty Member for her outstanding contributions to WSU, during the November 17 football game at Pullman’s Martin Stadium.
