Prepare for Graduate School
Start early. There is no need to wait until your senior year to begin exploring options to earn an advanced degree.
Ask faculty members and current graduate students about graduate programs at WSU and elsewhere. They often have first-hand information on program strengths and research opportunities.
The annual “Special Issue: Assistantships and Fellowships in the Mathematical Sciences” of Notices of the American Mathematical Society, is a useful compilation of information on US and Canadian graduate programs in the mathematical science. Ask your faculty mentor or see copies available in the WSU Owen Science Library.
Contact the Department of Teaching and Learning in the WSU College of Education for information about job markets and required qualifications.
